App Maker is a new G Suite tool focused on enabling companies and other organizations to create their own applications specific to their needs, being able to obtain them in a matter of days.
Until now, App Maker has been available under the Early Adoption Program, launched at the end of November 2016, so that interested companies can be added, but this tool begins today to be available to all G Suite customers, both for Business as Enterprise editions as well as for the educational edition of G Suite.
With this, any company and any organization, including educational, can simply start to create their own applications, and even serve as a curricular tool.
For this they will not need to have knowledge in programming, since for the creation of the applications they will only have to add different elements to the interface, being able from now also to make use of adaptive templates, among other improvements added throughout a year and a half, that allow the use of applications both from desktops and mobile phones.
Yes, there might be some complication when connecting the applications to the data sources that will be used. In this regard, it is compatible with Google Cloud, SQL databases as well as other data sources. In this sense, it is compatible with a total of 40 Google services, and there is no compatibility with third-party data sources at this time.
The tech giant Google points out that App Maker is flexible enough to be as useful for large companies as it is for schools and universities.
